How to :

  • Activate Eco-Alerts
  • Manually collect count data
  • Validate your counts

  Welcome back, !

Here is the continuation of our training and introduction to using Eco-Counters. Depending on the transmission mode chosen for your counter, you can manually collect data via Bluetooth, or benefit from automatic data transfer via cellular networks. This email shows you how to:

  1. Enable Eco-Alerts if you have opted for Professional or Expert packages
  2. Collect count data manually from your Eco-Counter using Bluetooth
  3. Do a count validation to ensure that your counter is ready to go

Eco-Alerts and automatic data transmission

Have you chosen the automatic transmission function? If so, you don't have to worry about manually retrieving your data. It will be sent automatically, everyday, over cellular networks!

For those with automatic data transmission, our Eco-Alerts function informs you by e-mail in the event of abnormal data or unusual counter behavior. Eco-Alerts are easy to setup!

Collecting data manually
with Eco-Link and Bluetooth

Manual data retrieval involves using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device to connect to the counter when on site. With manual data retrieval, we recommend you carry out a retrieval at least once every 3 months (preferably once a month) to ensure data continuity, verify that everything is working, and limit the risk of data loss.

To retrieve your data, start by downloading  Eco-Link Evo if you are using our Evo range of counters. For other generations of counters, go ahead and download Eco-Link Android. The application works on both smartphone and tablet devices.

Download Eco-Link for PC

With your device in hand and Bluetooth activated, go to your counter and connect using Eco-Link. The application will then prompt you to transfer your count data.

Validation your counts

After any site visit, we always recommend a validation count: a 15 minute manual count to verify the counter is collecting counts accurately. After counter installation, maintenance, or recalibration, a validation count is a great way to get peace of mind about your counts.

Things don't seem quite right after your validation count? Get in touch, our dedicated support team is always here to help!
